CENTRAL STANYS: Webinar -

What's Up, Way Up?

Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012
3:30 - 4:30pm

Exploring the Sky with Susan Button
Find comfort in learning the part of your neighborhood you rarely navigate; the “night” sky.
Join me to explore what’s up in the sky!
  • Which constellations are visible all year round and which are seasonal?
We will explore what you can see now in the sky, while looking for signs of winter and spring in the stars.

  • What are sky resources that I can use?
You will be given a short list of resources on the internet so that you can continue to be aware of what’s up in the sky throughout the year.

  • How can I engage my students, now?
It is important for you and your students to stay connected globally; you will be excited to learn about some fantastic programs and events to look for in 2012…and no, it won’t be “the end of the world!” You will however, find out what’s up with that too!

Susan Button is a classroom teacher, planetarium specialist and astronomy enthusiast!
Susan is past president of the International Planetarium Society and, though retired, keeps very involved in her chosen passion.
